Like a Gilmore Girl: Cinnamon Sugar Donuts and my visit to Stars Hollow a few years ago

Sometimes I'm just a girl too. And now hand on heart, girls! Who of you watched the Gilmore Girls and is not enthusiastic? Tomorrow comes the long awaited eighth season of the series around the residents of Stars Hollow and the internet is spinning. I'm there! And right in time for the start of the series, I have a typical Gilmore Girls cake at the start: Cinnamon Sugar Donuts!

Ok, they're simple cinnamon sugar donuts, but they sound American and Gilmore-like Cinnamon Sugar Donuts just a lot of real and much more Lorelai and Rory . Admittedly, I got on the train quite late. Gilmore Girls has somehow been completely denied me in my teenage and twenties. I've always been into Twin Peaks or File X , but I've never seen such series for girls. That this was a mistake, was explained to me by countless bodies. And when all of the previous seven seasons were completely available on Netflix, I could not beat it anymore.

Gilmore Girls got me hooked from the first episode. Rarely have I seen such a shallow, so sweet, rippling series with such harmless characters. I mean that positively! Actually this is not quite the style of series that I usually get from Friends to Transparent or Mr. Robot to The Walking Dead otherwise look like this. But just this lovely, lovely thing that makes Rory and Lorelai really was a welcome change. I've been thrilled to be able to look all the seasons in a row to be ready for the big comeback now.

And I've got you all - or at least most of them - a bit ahead, ha! I know Stars Hollow in real life!

In 2009, I was in Los Angeles and went to Hollywood with my sister for a studio tour, or actually to

Da All of a sudden, when our tour guide told us that over there was the house of Lorelai from Gilmore Girls . "And that's the place with the pagoda over there. And Rory's school. "I could not really do much with that. More exciting was the fact that Susan Delfino from the Wisteria Lane of the Desperate Housewives on the film set is the neighbor of Lorelai Gilmore was. And Rory's school was also used more often in Desperate Housewives . THAT are the true fun facts. And I have this story to tell, as I came as a latecomer to the series, but they know somehow pretty well. The Warner Bros.Sure, there are the chic Friday dinners with Rory's grandparents. But most of their food intake consists of tons of black coffee and a lot of fast food. There are times when Chinese order, sometimes there is pizza, but mostly there are burgers or a sumptuous breakfast in the Luke's . And what about Lorelai if she does not have time for a hearty breakfast with pancakes, eggs and bacon in the morning? Right, a donut!

Cinnamon Sugar Donuts out of the oven

Actually, I'm not a big fan of frying in the apartment. As delicious as deep-fried treats are, the smell lingers in the kitchen for days and I just do not like that. That's why I have baked donuts that are no less delicious! You do not need a fancy glaze, but come with a deliciously crunchy cinnamon-sugar crust. Or, to match the Gilmore Girls : Cinnamon Sugar Donuts! They are baked in a simple, coated donut plate * and the amount is sufficient for the six possible donuts. Since the recipe is super fast and easy, you can always bake fresh donuts for a visit - without stink. And today they are the perfect dessert for Thanksgiving.

Welcome back to Stars Hollow!

Are you ready for tomorrow? Do you already know, if you will devour all episodes at the weekend or do you share the episodes, to have something like this for as long as possible? And are you also preparing some food for you?
